Mont Alto powered up in their first win on Sunday, with three home runs and 15 base hits in a 9-0 victory over Brandywine. Zach Garlin went six innings for Mont Alto, striking out 12 batters and allowing just three hits.

Mont Alto starter Joshua Sullivan kept the Schuylkill bats scoreless until the Mont Alto offense erupted for five runs in the top of the sixth inning. Blake Orndorff led off the sixth inning with a solo home run. Wyatt Kissel, Cameron Bailey and Caiden Smith each recorded RBI base hits in the inning.

Up Next: Mont Alto advances to Monday's PSUAC Baseball Championship versus Penn State DuBois. The first game is scheduled for noon at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park in State College, Pa. Game is slated for a noon start.
