Baseball extends win streak to eleven games

Game One: Penn State Mont Alto 17, Penn State Wilkes-Barre 0 

 

Penn State Mont hosted Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Monday for a double header. An offensive outburst from Mont Alto would allow them to get the 17-0 win over Wilkes-Barre.

 

A walk from Cameron Bailey would get the scoring started, then a single from Braden Zeger would allow another run to score. Then two hit by pitches would allow two more runs to come across. A wild pitch would let another run score. A single from Josiah Bowie and James Sibert would allow two runs to score. Then a groundout would let another run come across. Two more wild pitches would let two more runs score. A single from Gavin Kissel would let two runs score on the play, then a double from Josiah Bowie would allow two more runs to score. Then a groundout and a fielder's choice would let two more runs score. In the bottom of the fourth, a groundout would let Mont Alto's final run score as they win 17-0 over Wilkes-Barre.

Game Two: Penn State Mont Alto 9, Penn State Wilkes-Barre 1

 

Penn State Mont Alto hosted Penn State Wilkes-Barre for a double header on Monday. In the second game of the doubleheader, Mont Alto's offense would not cool down as they win 9-1 over Wilkes-Barre and get the sweep.

  

In the bottom of the second, a single from Cameron Gill would allow one run to score. Then in the bottom of the third inning, a wild pitch would allow one run to score. A single from Nate Smith would then allow two more runs to score and Mont Alto would lead 4-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, another wild pitch would let one run score. Another wild pitch would let yet another run score. A single from Garrett Worth would then score one run on the play. A single from Cameron Bailey would then let another run score.

In the top of the sixth, a double from B. Wanchisse would let Wilkes-Barre score their lone run of the game.

Then a solo homerun from Nate Smith would close out the game as Mont Alto wins 9-1 over PSU Wilkes-Barre.
