PSUAC Basketball Awards Announced

The Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference released its season awards on Friday afternoon. Penn State Mont Alto senior guard Cameron Williams and sophomore forward Caleb Eckert were both named first team West Division team members. 

 

On the season, Williams averaged 12.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Over his last three games, Williams has scored 18, 19, 18 points with a season-high 19 occurring three times this season against Central Penn on 1/7, Penn State Hazleton 2/21 and Penn State Wilkes-Barre on 3/1. 

 

Eckert has come on strong during his second season at Mont Alto. For the season, Eckert is averaging 12.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. His best outing of the season occurred at Penn State Schuylkill on 11/29 when he scored 23 points and recorded two steals.  

 

Freshman Christyan Bonser Santos was named the campus receipient for the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award. The award is given to one student-athlete on each sports team that best displays good sportsmanship and demonstrates ethical, appropriate, polite and fair behavior while participating in athletic events and as a member of their team.

 

On the women's side, senior forward Brittany Morrow was named the campus receipient for the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award.
