
Mont Alto couldn't overcome a 37-25 halftime deficit as they dropped a non-conference matchup against NCAA Division II opponent Glenville State 70-65. Veron Talla scored 17 points for Mont Alto, while Cameron Williams (14) and Caleb Eckert (11) each scored in double-digits.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
-A fastbreak three point basket by Glenville's Devin Collins had the home team up 8-2 in the early going.
-Back to back successful free throws from Mont Alto's Saihou Mbergan tied the game at 10 with 14 minutes left in the first half.
-Rye Gadd connected on a three pointer to built Glenville's lead in the first half to 32-21.
-Glenville led by as much as twelve in the half, leading at halftime 37-25.
-Glenville led 55-38 with 11:44 remaining in the game and Mont Alto was able to trim the deficit to four points on a layup with 3:59 remaining. Mont Alto trailed 60-56.
-Mont Alto would get within five late but couldn't overcome the early deficit in a 70-65 loss.
