Balanced effort propels Mont Alto past Beaver 74-61

Caleb Eckert was Mont Alto's leading scorer for the fourth straight game with a team-high 15 points as Mont Alto picked up a key road PSUAC victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating Penn State Beaver 74-61.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-Following an early 9-7 deficit, Mont Alto scored five straight points on a Cameron Williams three pointer and a Veron Talla layup to create some early seperation.

-Caleb Eckert made a three and Nathan Osei made a layup to push the Mont Alto lead to 21-11 with 12:37 remaining in the first half.

-Beaver's Alex Green would cut the Beaver deficit to just two points as Mont Alto lead 28-26 with 6:56 left in the half.

-Mont Alto led 36-29 at the half, Eckert had 11 points at the half for Mont Alto.

-Mont Alto controlled the second half and didn't led Beaver cut into the lead much, leading 64-43 as Cameron Williams converted off an offensive rebound.

-With the score 74-53, Beaver scored the games final eight points as Mont Alto won 74-61.
