USCAA National Basketball Championships- Consolation- Penn State Mont Alto 87, Southern Maine CC 66

PETERSBURG, Va.- Nathan Osei eclipsed 1,000 career points on his final collegiate bucket and Caleb Eckert scored a team-high 17 points as Mont Alto defeated Southern Maine CC 87-66 on Monday morning from Virginia State University. Luke Briggs led Southern Maine CC with 13 points in 19 minuutes of action.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-Mont Alto started out fast in the first half, racing out to a 10-1 lead when Dariel Rivera converted on a layup with 16:51 remaining in the first half.

-Osei capped off another Mont Alto scoring run with a dunk, pushing the Mont Alto advantage to 20-5 halfway through the first.

-With 5:36 left in the half, Randy Vasquez made a layup which cut the Mont Alto led to 35-20.

-Mont Alto led by 20 at the half with a 47-27 lead. Cameron Williams led Mont Alto in the first half with 12 points.

-Free throws from Dariel Rivera and a layup from Eckert ballooned the Nittany Lions lead to 64-35 almost midway through the second half.

-Ten different Mont Alto players scored in the final frame as Mont Alto defeated Southern Maine CC 87-66.
