CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Penn State Mont Alto men's golf team competed against the University of Valley Forge and Wilson College who hosted the Spring Invitational at the Chambersburg Country Club on Friday. The Nittany Lions had three golfers competing, which wasn't enough to place in the match as The Phoenix claimed first place by shooting a 435 by defeating the University of Valley Forge who shot 479.
Mont Alto junior Austin Green (Greencastle, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) earned first place honors on his hometown course by carding a match low of 80. Freshman Robert Sirk (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) also had a nice round of golf on Friday afternoon earning second place honors with a 85. Senior Dayne Conner (Shippensburg, Pa. / Big Spring) rounded out the scoring on the par-73 course for PSUMA with a 101.
