MONT ALTO, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto golf team released the fall portion of its schedule, which features five invites. All events are on the road before the team competes in the PSUAC/USCAA National Championship on October 8-9 at the Blue Course in University Park.

The Nittany Lions will once again open up the season at the PSUAC Invitational at the White Course in University Park on Thursday, September 6. Mont Alto will follow that up at the Penn State Fayette Invitational on Saturday, September 15 at the Duck Hollow Country Club. The squad will then compete at the Elizabethtown College Fall Invitational on Tuesday, September 18 at the Hershey East Country Club.  On Monday, September 24, they will compete in another PSUAC Invitational, which will take place on the Blue Course in University Park.

Mont Alto opens up the month of October at the Gettysburg Invitational (Oct. 3) at the Hanover Country Club. The invitational will serve as the squad's final tune up before competing in the PSUAC/USCAA National Championship on October 8-9 at the Blue Course in University Park.

Last season, the Nittany Lions finished 10^th as a team at the National Championships with a two-round total of 653. Mont Alto finished third amongst PSUAC schools with Tom Shearer (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) leading the way and earning All-PSUAC distinction with a 16^th-place overall finish.
