Mont Alto Golf Finishes Fourth at Hazleton Invitational

HAZLETON, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto golf team traveled and competed in the Penn State Hazleton Invitational and claimed fourth place Monday afternoon at Valley Country Club. The Nittany Lions fielded a four-man squad and they shot a 362 with team champion going to Penn State Lehigh Valley after they combined to shoot 349.

Mont Alto was led by Daniel Harman (Biglerville, Pa. / Biglerville) who turned in a solid round of an 86. Right behind him was senior Carson Helfrick (Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg) who shot an 88. Rounding up the Mont Alto finishers was Dylan Loss (Middleburg, Pa. / Middle-West) who totaled 91 shots, while Brogan Beall (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) finished with a round of 97.

Penn State Hazleton produced the top two individual scores of the day as Jeremy Harper shot a two-over-par 74 to claim medalist honors. PSUMA will return to action on Thursday (April 22) at the PSUAC Invitational.
