STATE COLLEGE, Pa.- Following a strong day one performance at the PSUAC/USCAA Championships, the Mont Alto golf team finished with a final round score of +33 on their way to capturing the 2024 PSUAC Golf Championship. The championship marks Mont Alto's first in eight seasons. Jacob Bassham led the way for Mont Alto, earning USCAA Second Team All-American honors by placing tied for 9th in the USCAA and second in the conference. 

Ryan Small, Ben Irr and Hunter Flickinger also earned all-conference honors by finishing in the top ten of the PSUAC final scores. Small finished T-20 in the USCAA and T-3 in the PSUAC with a final round of 81 after shooting a 78 in windy and blustery conditions on Monday. Irr placed T-29 in the USCAA and T-7 in the PSUAC with rounds of 84 and 78 respectively. Flickinger placed the same as Irr after shooting rounds of 80 on Monday and a 82 on Tuesday. 

Stephen Lucas finished T-52 with a total score of 171 (84-87). Levi Hassinger finished T-84 with a total score of 191 (97-94). 

Mont Alto finished the USCAA tournament with a top five finish nationally. Lyon College won the team title with a team score of +27. 

During the PSUAC Awards ceremony, Head Coach Ed Reely was named PSUAC Coach of the Year.
