Mont Alto, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto men's soccer team announced their schedule for the upcoming 2017 season.
"My outlook for the upcoming season is bright as we are going to be more athletic with a higher soccer IQ looking to build off of the successes of the past two years," said head coach Tim Carey.
"We will have returning starters at key positions and the incoming freshmen class look to be good, skilled position players. With five outings before our first league match, the newcomers should adjust to the collegiate style of play as I look for the team to make some real noise in the PSUAC this season," added Carey.
The Lions kick off the season with a home match on Friday, September 1 against NCAA Division III institution Emory & Henry. On September 16, the Lions will work hand-in-hand with the Antietam Humane Society of Waynesboro as they will collect donations prior to and during their match against PSU Greater Allegheny. Mont Alto will also host a "Pink Out" game on October 1 against Penn State Schuylkill where it will raise money for the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance (CVBCA).
The Lions schedule features home Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) games against Penn State Greater Allegheny, Penn State Brandywine, Penn State Schuylkill and Penn State New Kensington.
