Men’s Soccer Stumbles at Brandywine

MEDIA, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto men's soccer team was handed a 13-0 loss by Penn State Brandywine on Sunday afternoon.

Inside the Box Score

  • Brandywine who has dominated in each of its five PSUAC contests to date, recorded 47 shots and did not allow Mont Alto to register a shot attempt.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Austin Moore (Brockway, Pa. Brockway Area) had a busy afternoon and tallied 12 saves in the loss.

How it Happened

  • Mont Alto was held with out a goal for the fifth time this season.
  • Joey Cairy netted the first of his three goals at the 14:59 mark. Brandywine added four more goals from four different goal scorers to take the 5-0 lead into halftime.
  • Brandywine added eight more goals in the final 45 minutes of the match.

Penn State Mont Alto (0-6-1, 0-3-1 PSUAC) return to action on Wednesday, October 3 at Washington Adventist College competing under the lights. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
