Men's Soccer drops non-conference contest to #1 Berkeley 5-1

Continuing their tough non-conference schedule, the Mont Alto Men's Soccer team battled top ranked Berkeley College on Saturday afternoon. Berkeley scored three goals in the first half on its way to a 5-1 win.

 

Berkeley struck in the first minute minute of action as Jacoby Salvo took a misplayed defense clear from Mont Alto and beat keeper Zach Stum. Berkeley got on the board again in the 18th minute as Michael Paredes beat Stum on a shot from outside the box.

 

The Knights built a 3-0 advantage before the break with a goal from Suad Lukovic on an assist from Lucas Zuleta.

 

Following the half, Berkeley extended its lead to 5-0 with goals from Ian Pallardel (49') and Michael Paredes (64').

 

Mont Alto's River Terry recorded his second goal on the season with a free kick that found the top right of the net past in the 73rd minute.

 

Terry led Mont Alto in SOG with two while Garrett Haskell and Thomas Oberholzer each had one.
