Men's soccer drops non-conference game to Carlow

Carlow 4, Penn State Mont Alto 0

The first ten minutes were all Carlow needed to win Monday's non-conference men's soccer match against Mont Alto, scoring three goals in seven minutes as Mont Alto lost 4-0. Following a throw in, Carlow's Walt Kada sent a pass by keeper Zach Stum through the goal mouth for a waiting Gabe Sorcich. Sorcich capitalized and the visitors led 1-0.

In the sixth minute, Stum couldn't corral a corner kick off the post as the ball bounced out to a waiting Francis Bochicchio for a goal.

Minutes later, Gavin Moore fed Konnor Sayre from midfield as he completed a run and put the Celtics up 3-0.

Moore would add an unassisted tally in the 40th minute as he beat the keeper from about 20 yard out.

The second half was clean with no goals and Mont Alto leading in shots 4-3.

Kynn Loss paced the offensive output for Mont Alto with two shots on goal. Nicholas Silva and Thomas Oberholzer added the other two shots on goal for Mont Alto.
