2014 USCAA National Tournament Ends Early Due to Rain

2014 USCAA National Tournament Ends Early Due to Rain

Although the Penn State Mont Alto Softball team was playing extremely well throughout the 2014 USCAA National Tournament, the weather had a change of plans for them.  Due to eight inches of rain over the past three days, and more to come the USCAA staff regretfully made the decision to call the tournament early.

With mud filled cleats and aching bodies, the Mont Alto Lady Lions can keep their heads high as they finished fourth in the tournament.  They finished the tournament with a record of 3-1, and were playing some of their best games of the season at the right time.

The USCAA staff decided this afternoon to make the tournament single elimination, giving the Lindenwood University-Belleville Lady Lynx the 2014 USCAA National Title.

Mont Alto had a successful season even before finishing #4 in the country.  They also finished #2 in the PSUAC, and finished with an overall record of 21-11.
