Game Story

• Penn State Mont Alto scored the first run of the game in the top of the first inning on a Jaylin Belton RBI single. 

• Penn State Greater Allegheny quickly responded with a nine run bottom half of the inning. Sydney Creary plated three on her home run to give Penn State Greater Allegheny a 4-1 lead. Madison Taylor recorded her second RBI hit late in the bottom of the first to give Penn State Greater Allegheny its ninth run of the inning.

• The remaining four innings went scoreless as the two teams combined for one hit the rest of the way. Jaylin Belton paced the Penn State Mont Alto offense with a team-high two hits.

Game Story

• Kirsten Dell put the visitors on the board early with a double to left field, scoring Brooklyn Miller to put Penn State Mont Alto on top 1-0. Penn State Greater Allegheny responded in the bottom half of the first inning, reclaiming the lead with two runs in the inning. Sydney Creary connected on her second home run of the doubleheader, plating Madison Taylor.

• A Destiny Hall double to center field plated both Brooklyn Miller and Haley Dawson, giving Penn State Mont Alto a 3-2 lead after four innings. 

• Kirsten Dell doubled in Miller with one out in the top of the sixth inning, Penn State Mont Alto led 5-3 after five and a half innings. Penn State Greater Allegheny would tie the contest in the bottom half of the sixth on a Madison Taylor RBI double and a Sydney Creary RBI groundout. 

• Penn State Mont Alto provided plenty of insurance runs to break the tie in the top of the seventh inning, scoring four runs in the inning to go out in front 8-4. Brooklyn Miller scored Jaylin Belton on her fourth hit of the game. Kirsten Dell followed that up with a 2 RBI double. Destiny Hall scored Dell on the next hit of the inning, pushing Penn State Mont Alto's lead to four runs.
