HOW IT HAPPENED:

-Olivia Waldrop plated New Kensington's first run of the game on a double down the left field line, scoring Kali Barnett.

-Mont Alto quickly responded with a timely double from Paige Loudenslager the opposite way and Destiny Hall scored Loudenslager with a home run to left field. Mont Alto led 3-1 after one complete.

-Kirsten Dell hit the first of her two home runs on the day with a two run shot to put Mont Alto up four after two.

-Barnett scored two on a base hit to trim the Mont Alto lead to 6-3 in the fourth inning.

-Loudenslager would once again attack the left side of the field with a two RBI base hit in the home half of the fourth inning.

-Leading 8-3 into the fifth, Rachel Alleman and Kira Weikert each reached base for Dell. Dell took an Addyson Gregg offering deep to left field to send Mont Alto into the PSUAC Championship game for the first time since the 2021 season to face off against Brandywine.
