Mont Alto falls to Schuylkill by ten

Despite being 0-3, Penn State Mont Alto's Women's Basketball (0-3 PSUAC, 0-3 Overall) team continues to improve and get stronger one game at a time.  Tuesday night, Mont Alto fell, 49-59, to their third straight loss in conference play against Penn State Schuylkill (1-2 PSUAC, 2-3 Overall).

Mont Alto's sophomore Anna Angle (James Buchanan, Pa) had her third double-double in their loss to Schuylkill last night scoring 19 points and rebounding 11.  Angle has been very impressive thus far in her first season with Mont Alto.

Head Coach Donna Davis said, "Angle had another terrific game, having her third straight double-double.  She has had three fantastic showings and she is such a mature presence on the floor."

At half time, Schuylkill only led by three. But they continued to hold the lead throughout the second half.  Christine Walker added 15 points and 5 rebounds for the Mont Alto Lady Lions.

"We continue to build on what we have and need to make better decisions," commented Davis, "we have to reduce the amount of turnovers."

Mont Alto has stayed positive through the start of the season.

"Although we have not gotten our first win yet, being 0-3 means we can build on things", said Davis.

Mont Alto returns to action January 14th, on the road, for another conference game at Penn State Fayette.
