Women's basketball loses non-conference tilt against WVWC

West Virginia Wesleyan College 95, Penn State Mont Alto 30

 

Penn State Mont Alto women's basketball traveled to Buckhannon, WV on Saturday afternoon to face off against NCAA Division II opponent West Virginia Wesleyan College in the season opening game. The Bobcats controlled the contest from the start with a 95-30 victory.

 

The Bobcats shot 43.4% from the field and limited Mont Alto to 25.6% from the field. Mont Alto committed 38 turnovers which led to 48 points for West Virginia Wesleyan.

 

Kaleigh Hartman led Mont Alto with a team-high nine points in 32 minutes of action. She shot 3 of 9 from the field and also brought in nine rebounds.

 

Dariana Perez also had eight points in 32 minutes to go along with six rebounds.

 

Up Next: Mont Alto will travel to Penn State Greater Allegheny on Friday for a 6pm start.
