Christendom 80, Penn State Mont Alto 51

MONT ALTO, Pa.- Kaleigh Hartman scored a team-high 20 points for Mont Alto during the team's non-conference loss to Christendom on Wednesday evening by a final of 80-51. Mary Penefather had a near triple-double for the visitors by scoring 25 points, grabbing 18 rebounds and assisting on 9 passes.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-Mont Alto battled tough in the opening frame, Hartman tallied 8 points on 3 of 4 shooting. Dariana Perez also had six points in the opening quarter as Mont Alto found itself down 21-18 after one quarter. 

-With 3:30 remaining in the first half, Miranda Keller made a jump shot to push the Christendom lead to 37-24... that lead marked the largest lead for Christendom in the half. 

-After an Autumn Fischer layup, Keller would score two more points as Christendom led at the half 41-26. 

-Following halftime, the Christendom defense held Mont Alto in check, forcing the home squad to a 26.7% shooting period. Mary Penefather scored 10 of her 25 points in the third quarter as Christendom led 60-36 after three.

-Perez and Hartman combined for 13 of Mont Alto's 15 fourth quarter points as Christendom took the non-conference contest by a final of 80-51
