Penn State Lehigh Valley 68, Penn State Mont Alto 29

Allentown, PA- The women's basketball team started off conference play on Tuesday facing off against Penn State Lehigh Valley. Penn State Lehigh Valley got the best of Mont Alto this time even with a 20-point performance from Mont Alto's Dariana Perez.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-Lehigh Valley got out to an early 10-1 lead with a layup from Mackenzie Wells with 5:12 minutes left in the 1st quarter.

-To start the 2nd quarter, Lehigh Valley went on a 10-0 run capped off by two 3-pointers from Journey Handy.

-going into halftime Lehigh Valley was leading the contest with a score of 37-11.

-The scoring for the game was capped off with a layup from Lehigh Valley's Mackenzie Wells to make the final score 68-29.

Kennedy Armistead- 12 points, 4 assists

Journey Handy- 9 points, 5 rebounds

Dalani Petties- 8 points, 9 rebounds, 5 blocks

Penn State Mont Alto Leaders:

Dariana Perez- 20 points, 8 rebounds

Autumn Fischer- 13 rebounds, 2 assists

Shanez Morales- 9 rebounds
