Penn State Mont Alto 61, Penn State Fayette 47

Uniontown, Pa.- Mont Alto women's basketball traveled to Penn State Fayette following a game at Penn State Beaver the evening before, Victoria Kalp led the way for Mont Alto with 16 points. All five Mont Alto starters scored in double-digits in the winning effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-Shanez Morales scored seven first quarter points as Mont Alto outscored Fayette 22-9 in the first ten minutes of action. Mont Alto shot 59% from the field and held Fayette to 25% from the field. 

-Both teams struggled from the field in the second quarter as Mont Alto took a 32-20 lead into the break

-Mont Alto started the second half on a 5-0 run to pull ahead 37-22. Kalp connected on a three pointer and Autumn Fischer connected on a pair of free throws.

-The Mont Alto defense continued in the fourth quarter, holding the home team to 30% shooting in the final frame as Mont Alto won 61-47.
