Penn State Schuylkill 56, Penn State Mont Alto 53

Mont Alto, Pa- Mont Alto women's basketball went up against PSU Schuylkill for a USCAA division two matchup. A very close game ended up going Schuylkill's way as they won 56-53 over Mont Alto.  

How it Happened

-Early in the first quarter Schuylkill would have success scoring as they would go up 16-3 over Mont Alto.

-In the second quarter Mont Alto would begin trying to chip away at the lead with help from Dariana Perez, scoring eight points in the quarter.   

-Going into the third quarter Mont Alto would score 4 unanswered baskets and would take the lead 34-32 with seven minutes remaining. Schuylkill would then regain the lead with two free throws from Serena Jones.

-In the fourth quarter it was a back-and-forth battle between each team. With eight seconds left in regulation, Daijah Wallace would score a clutch three pointer to make the score 54-53. Schuylkill would then score two free throws and win the game over Mont Alto 56-53.

Shanez Morales- 7 points, 9 rebounds

Victoria Kalp- 7 points, 4 rebounds

Penn State Schuylkill Leaders:

Nadia King- 14 points, 5 rebounds

Ava Novak- 14 points, 10 rebounds

Serena Jones- 13 points, 13 rebounds
