Mary Miller

Mary Miller enters her seventh season as the head coach of Penn State Mont Alto women's basketball team during the 2023-24 academic year.

The Nittany Lions finished the 2021-22 season with a 13-12 overall record, going 10-9 in the conference for a third place finish. For the second straight season, the team qualified for the PSUAC tournament.

Miller was elevated to the head coaching position in July 2017 after four successful seasons as an assistant under former head coach Paul Lundy. Miller also spearheaded the recruiting efforts for the women's basketball program during her time as an assistant.

Coach Miller is no stranger to the Franklin County area as well as the women's basketball landscape of Pennsylvania. She was a three-sport athlete at neighboring Wilson College participating in soccer, basketball and women's tennis. After graduating in 2008, she served as an assistant for the women's soccer program at Wilson for three seasons before transitioning to the varsity women's soccer head coach at Shippensburg Area High School. For the past several years, Miller also has been a prominent figure at the Keystone State Basketball Camp in Williamsport, Pa. where she coaches as well as assists with tournament registrations.

In addition to her role as the head women's basketball coach, Miller was appointed the head coach of the women's soccer program at Mont Alto in January 2018.

Miller received her bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science from Wilson College and a master's degree in sport management through the American Military University. Miller resides in Shippensburg, Pa.
