Women's soccer drops regular season finale to Carlow University

Penn State Mont Alto dropped its regular season finale on Monday evening, falling to Carlow University 4-0. Carlow outshot Penn State Mont Alto 18-1 for the non-conference victory. Carlow's Sarah Thompson found the back of the net off a corner from teammate Natalie DiGiorno in the third minute of the match.

 

Haley Huber pushed the lead to two on a header off a free kick as Natalie DiGiorno compiled her second assist on the evening. Huber and DiGiorno connected again in the 38th minute of the first half when DiGiorno scored past keeper Kiaya Mouer on an assist from Huber. 

 

Erin Thompson scored Carlow's fourth goal on a penalty kick in the 67th minute. Sydney Allison led the Mont Alto attack with the lone shot on goal during the match. Natalie DiGiorno paced the Carlow attack with 10 shots, five of which were on target.

 

Kiaya Mouer stopped 13 of her 17 shots on goal faced in the non-conference contest.
