The Penn State Mont Alto women's soccer team picked up their much anticipated first win of the season with a 9-0 defeat of Penn State Hazleton on Wednesday afternoon.

Six different Mont Alto players recorded a goal in the first half as Grace Lochner (7', 27'), Avery Diehl (8'), Katlin Provard (10'), Nicole Jones (15'), Sydney Allison (35') and Alexis Mariano (41') all found the back of the net. Mont Alto registered 20 shots in the first half and held Hazleton to only one shot attempt in the first 45 minutes of play. 

Frances Fitzgerald and Alexis Mariano recorded goals in the second half as Mont Alto outshot Hazleton in the second half as well by a tally of 11-2. 

Kiaya Mouer recorded a shutout on the day as she stopped both of her shots faced.

Mont Alto will face off against Penn State Beaver at 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
