Mont Alto, Pa. – On Tuesday, the Penn State Mont Alto women's volleyball program and head coach Randy Hood released the schedule for the 2017 season.
"I am very excited to hit the ground running with an outstanding group of returners as well as the incoming freshmen class as we are looking to continue to build on the previous successes of the volleyball program at Mont Alto," said Hood.
The Lions finished the 2016 season with an overall record of 19-4, 12-3 in conference as the team finished its season falling to PSU Fayette in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Tournament Championship.
Mont Alto will open at home on Friday, September 8 against NCAA Division III opponent Wilson College marking the first of four-straight home matches to begin the season. The Lions will then begin conference play on their home floor against Penn State Brandywine on Tuesday, September 19.
Overall, Mont Alto will host PSUAC matches against Penn State Brandywine, Penn State Hazleton, Penn State York, Penn State Fayette, Penn State New Kensington and Penn State Schuylkill.
