Courtney Stump Named Conference Athlete of the Week

State College, Pa. - Penn State Mont Alto outside hitter Courtney Stump (Greencastle, Pa. / Greencastle) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of October 3. Stump helped Mont Alto to a 5-1 week, which included the Lions sweeping PSUAC competition at both Saturday and Sunday's quad matches. Mont Alto tallied victories over PSU York, Fayette, New Kensington, Greater Allegheny and PSU Beaver. 

Stump averaged 3.21 kills per set, had an impressive 77 digs and had 63 kills overall in this past weekend's competition. Overall, the Greencastle Antrim product is third in the conference with 128 kills, second in digs with 151, and fourth in kills per set at 3.37.

Penn State Mont Alto will look to earn it's sixth-straight conference victory on Thursday in a rematch with Brandywine. The Lions travel to Media, Pa. in a highly anticipated matchup between the current top-two teams in the conference. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
