Penn State Mont Alto started off the 2022 season with a sweep of Wilson College, winning 25-7, 25-11 and 25-6 in straight sets on Thursday evening. Gracie Vaughn had a team-high 11 kills to go along with four block assists. Caroline Blickley accumulated eight kills and Kylee Gooding tallied six in the winning effort. Gabby Baughman was strong on the defensive effort, pacing Mont Alto with a team-high five digs. Katie Sinks added four digs as she finished second on the team.
Coach Hood's squad looks to continue its positive momentum in 2022 following one of the best seasons in school history, finishing runner-up in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association tournament a season ago. The team travels to the Gettysburg tournament on Friday with four games over the next two days.
