Mont Alto sweeps pool play, advances to final four

USCAA Pool Play Pool A: Mont Alto 3, Kent State Tuscarawas 2

After getting down two sets to none in the opening game of USCAA National Championship Play, Mont Alto battled back once again to take a pivotal pool play match in five sets, defeating Kent State Tuscarawas 3-2. Mont Alto lost to Kent State Tuscarawas earlier in the season during the Penn State DuBois tri-match in five sets. Brooke Denlinger paced the defense with 29 digs, surpassing 1,000 for her Mont Alto career.

USCAA Pool Play Pool A: Mont Alto 3, Central Maine C.C. 0

Mont Alto came out with momentum in game two on the day, sweeping Central Maine C.C. to advance to Friday's semifinals. Mont Alto took both of the first two sets 25-8 and pulled out a 25-23 win in the third set. Mont Alto will face an opponent TBD on Friday at 4:30pm in the National Semifinals. The game will be held at Penn State Fayette's Athletic Recreation Center.
