Cross Country Competes at Frostburg State Bobcat Invitational

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Penn State Mont Alto cross country team had a pair of runners competing in either the women's 6K race or the men's 8K race in the Frostburg State Bobcat Invitational at Maplehurst Country Club.

Freshman Madison Ford (Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) competed the 6K course in 33:03.97 despite wet and muddy conditions. She crossed the finish line 24th.

In the men's 8K race, Darius Carter (Greencastle, Pa. / Greencastle Antrim) competed in his second race of the season and finished 48th with a time of 40:59.70.

The Mont Alto cross country team continues its season at the Hood College Invitational on Saturday, October 13. Races are slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
