Macy Carper Claims Medalist Honors in Third Straight Race at Penn State Brandywine’s Invitational

MEDIA, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine hosted the cross country programs across the commonwealth on Saturday and Mont Alto's Macy Carper (Sunbury, Pa. / Shikellamy) won her third straight invitational to highlight the Nittany Lion accomplishments.

Carper ran a tougher course out at Brandywine but still paced the field to claim medalist honors of the women's race with a recorded time of 22:58. Teammate Emily Boozel (Huntingdon, Pa. / Mount Union Area) finished fifth crossing the line in 27:22.

19 runners competed in the men's 5K race with Mitchell Minda winning (19:05), but Mont Alto's Gavin Miller (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) had another great showing finishing the race fifth, with a time of 20:44. Jacob Geesaman (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) turned in a time of 26:29 for the Nittany Lions.

Mont Alto concludes its season competing in the Penn State Scranton Invitational next Saturday (April 24) at 12 p.m.
