Three record top-five finishes in XC invitational

Penn State Mont Alto cross-country traveled to nearby Norlo Park in Fayetteville to take part in the Mont Alto Invitational. Several nearby colleges and Penn State commonwealth campuses competed in Saturday's Invitational.

On the women's side, Mont Alto's Sarah Hipple came in 4th place with a time of 23:23 in the women's 5k race. Penn State Fayette's Chloe Kalp took the top overall time with 22:00. Northern Virginia Community College's Nicole Puhek (22:57) and Salem Rugaia (23:06) finished second and third respectively.

On the men's side, Penn State Mont Alto finished tied for second as a team with two top five individual finishes. Gabriel Brandt paced Mont Alto with a third place finish, running 17:54 in the men's 5k race. Gabriel Schubring finished top five with his fifth place finish with a time of 19:35. Gavin Miller (7th) 19:52 and Kyle Davis (11th) 20:39 rounded out the lineup on the men's side.
