Jared Pine

Pine is beginning his first season as an Assistant Coach for Penn State Mont Alto during the 2023-24 academic year.

 

Pine joins Coach Kissel's staff after he finished out a remarkable career for Mont Alto in 2023 after being named the USCAA Player of the Year in 2022 and 2023. In 121 career games played, he averaged .435 with six career home runs and 84 stolen bases.

 

In 2021, he batted .405 with 23 stolen bases and only thirteen strikeouts in 131 at-bats. In 2022, Pine slugged a career-best .662 with a .569 on-base percentage.

 

At shortstop, he compiled a .952 career fielding percentage. 

 

Prior to Mont Alto, Pine played one season at Frederick Community College in 2017-18 where he appeared in 45 games with a .382 average and 25 RBI's.

 

Pine is a three time United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-American (2021, 2022, 2023) and was also named Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference West Division Player of the Year in 2023. He was also named to the First Team in 2022 and an Honorable Mention in 2021.

 

Pine will look to provide instruction for the offense and infielders in Kissel's coaching staff for the 2024 season.
