Second half comeback effort falls short against Lycoming

Penn State Mont Alto's second half comeback effort fell short in a 54-48 non-conference to Lycoming College on Saturday afternoon. Mont Alto was outscored 32-21 in the first half and was able to win the second half scoring 27-26.

 

With Mont Alto trailing 45-42 late in the second half, Veron Talla cut the lead to just one on a dunk. With under three minutes remaining, Tevin Venson converted on a pair of jumpers as Mont Alto found itself trailing 49-48 with 2:05 remaining in the game. 

 

Lycoming College finished out the game on a 5-0 spurt to win 54-48.

 

Talla led all Mont Alto scorers with 20 points on 7 of 10 shooting. Venson had 14 points in 29 minutes of action.

 

Steven Hamilton was the leading scorer for Lycoming with 19 points, four rebounds and four assists. Hayden Pardoe was second on the team with 17 points in just 23 minutes.
