Mont Alto Places Ninth at 2019 Clark Luis Collegiate Invitational

SUGARLOAF, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto golf team competed in the PSU Hazleton Invitational on Monday afternoon at the Valley Country Club, finishing 9th in a field of seven PSUAC campuses and three NCAA Division III teams.

Penn College turned in the best team score of the day with a 324 as the Wildcats Kohltin Bartlow fired the low round of the day at a 77.

The Nittany Lions top finisher was Paul Steiger (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) who completed his round in 89 strokes. Hunter Reath (Mercersburg, Pa. / James Buchanan) posted a round of 92 and sophomore Cameron Lee (Warrenton, Va. / Faquier) turned in a card of 94.

Also competing for Mont Alto was Jakob Werner (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) who carded a round of 114 and Josh Muldowney who shot a 123.

Mont Alto competes next at the PSUAC/USCAA Championships with the first round on October 7 at the Blue Course in State College.
