Men's soccer drops regular season finale to Brandywine 9-0

Penn State Brandywine controlled action from the start on Saturday afternoon as Mont Alto fell to Brandywine on senior day by a final of 9-0. The game also marked the annual Pink Out game for the team. Mont Alto finishes the regular season with an overall record of 4-13-0 while carrying a 3-5 mark in PSUAC contests. The Nittany Lions are locked into the 5th seed in the conference and will travel to face 4th seeded Greater Allegheny on Wednesday for a 3:30pm start.

 

Brandywine scored its first goal at the seven minute mark as Mikey Dunham found the back of the net. Chris Manful (11'), Christian Zavala (23') and Jayden Barragan (28') also scored as Mont Alto trailed 4-0 following the first half of play.

 

Manful and Barragan added another goal in the second half as Kyle Reuter scored in the 51st minute and Raymond Kelly added goals in the 66th and 89th minute to round out the scoring for Brandywine for the 9-0 win.

 

Kynn Loss and Adriel DeJesus both registered a shot on goal for Mont Alto as the home team was outshot by Brandywine 18-2 in shots on goal.
