Mont Alto hosted Division III opponent Valley Forge tonight. Mont Alto went down a few point early, but kept a good press going through the first half to stay within 10 points at the break. Although they kept up there aggression through the game they had trouble on the glass.
Valley Forge outrebounded Mont Alto 42-26 behing the front court height of Jhanel Brown. Brown led all rebounders with 21, as well as dropping in 21 points for Valley Forge.
Mont Alto's Karley Coleman had a well rounded effort with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals, although Mont Alto ended up losing the game, 61-49. Mont Alto is back in action on Sunday when they return to conference play, hosting Penn State Fayette at 1:00 pm.
