First half goals power Mont Alto to shutout win over Schuylkill

Penn State Mont Alto registered two early first half goals in their way to another shutout victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating Penn State Schuylkill 2-0.

 

Avery Diehl scored the first goal for Mont Alto in the games third minute off an assist from Madison Eberly. The tally is Diehl's fourth of the season as she has recorded a goal in three of the last four games played. Grace Lochner would score the insurance goal for Mont Alto in the 14th minute, an unassisted tally as Mont Alto led 2-0.

 

Mont Alto goalkeeper Kiaya Mouer continued her strong conference season as she stopped all four shots faced and has yet to allow a goal in conference play with her efforts and a strong defense helping to prevent shots on goal.

 

Four different Nittany Lions registered shots on goal in the winning effort as Grace Lochner led the way with three. Noel Myers and Avery Diehl each had two and Alexis Mariano recorded one.
