Mont Alto extends win streak with 4-0 victory over Hazleton

Penn State Mont Alto women's soccer traveled to Penn State Hazleton on Tuesday evening for another PSUAC contest. Once again, the Mont Alto offense continued its hot streak and the defense has yet to allow a goal in five conference games.

 

Mont Alto is now 8-3-1 on the season with a 7-0 record in the PSUAC, Mont Alto sits atop the PSUAC standings with three conference games left on the schedule.

 

The Nittany Lions utiliized a balanced scoring attack to defeat Hazleton, scoring two goals in each half in their way to a 4-0 win.

 

Avery Diehl led Mont Alto with two goals in the game, her fifth and sixth of the season in the 5th and 50th minute of action. Madison Eberly scored the other first half goal, her second of the season in the 19th minute.

 

Grace Lochner extended upon her team-leading goals scored with eighth to extend the lead to 4-0 in the second half.

 

The Mont Alto defense pitched a shutout and held Hazleton without a shot on goal.
