NOTRE DAME OF MARYLAND 1, PENN STATE MONT ALTO 0

Alumnae Field, Baltimore- Mont Alto's Women Soccer team dropped the season opener to Notre Dame of Maryland with a final score of 1-0.  

IN GOAL:  

  • Notre Dame of Maryland: Makaylah Reyes (W, 1-0), 5 saves  

  • Notre Dame of Maryland: Leah Hasberry, 3 saves 

 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • In the first half Malaika Habib scored the first and only goal of the game unassisted, at 37:11 to take a 1-0 lead 

  • By the end of the first half Mont Alto was leading in shot 9-4 and corners kicks 5-0. 

  • Mont Alto ended the game leading in shots 15-5 and 8-1 corner kicks, failing to find the back of the net in a 1-0 defeat.
